Tracking
Dogs for Finding Wounded Deer
A fascinating
journey through the world of tracking wounded game with dogs in the
United States. John Jeanneney, retired professor, hunter, tracker,
handler and breeder of German Wirehaired Dachshunds writes this book
from his experience in tracking over 750 wounded deer with dog.
"Tracking Dogs for Finding Wounded Deer is a must read
for deer hunters and dog lovers!"...BMO Order
this book directly from the author and visit his website to learn

Saving Tracker John
Cogitation Pond was loaded with trout; rainbows and square tails. It's the kind of place I could take Tracker and be assured both of us would
catch trout. The only snag with Cogitation was that it was also loaded with bear and moose - kind of a funnel for ill- behaved wildlife.

This really
happened to me!
We're pleased to
introduce a new feature to the BMO called, "This really happened to me!" I know what you're saying,
"...but there is an article by that name in Outdoor Life
every month!" WRONG. That article is named, "This happened to me."
and if anyone has ever read those stories, you got to believe that
they are not true. If they are, you must feel sorry for the poor schmuck who shot a hole in the boat while duck hunting, fell out
of a tree stand onto a grizzly bear, was attacked by herd of
chipmunks, or was forced to run five miles through the desert
while applying direct pressure to his ear because of being bitten
by a rattle snake while listening for a buffalo
stampede!
These are
real stories (we think) by real people in the act of deer hunting
or just hanging around camp. When we get
'em, we'll post 'em. Sorry, we don't pay $50 for a story. That
should keep the riff-raff out!
How was your
Hunt?
We're sure there are some nice Big Buck Stories out there from your latest
hunt. Maybe you have a good "the one that got away" story
instead!
In either case, send us
your story and we'll be glad
to publish it here. Looking forward to the next
season...
