- Just received the latest Cabella's
catalogue. Tree stands up the gazoo! Now it's gonna
be hard to decide which one to get. Help from bmo
junkies. Advice is needed...send out the word. Dale

(Comments and suggestions) My pet deer rifle is my
Remington 742 30.06. I have owned the rifle for 21 years
and have bagged 15 deer with it. It is stock except for
the 2.5x8 Scopechief and I also had a trigger job by
Southwest guns in Pheonix for a 3.5lb pull and
microscopic creep. I prefer the semi auto because a
portion of my hunting is participating in drives. Shots
are often running, and I have had deer stop after missing
the first shot. With the auto, there is no working of an
action to give away my location. Easy standing shot.
Another one bites the dust! (Respondent's first

- from wisconsin: tanks for the advices on new stands! we
will use it alot! also, we seen the tree stands in
cabela's also too. and i don't like them too much
because you have to carry them out and set them up and
then someone usually steals them once. now, i seen a neat
tree stand (house) nort a pembine last year that measures
4'X 8'!! it has sides and a roof! and nobody has tried to
steal it once! really pretty up there. we went on a tick
run to count deers and saw 7 adult and about 4 fawns they
all looked nice. so, from wisconsin, have a nice
day.(Respondent's first name) joe (Respondent's
